Symposium 2011

The first ECS Montreal Student Symposium will be held on June 20th 2011 between 9.30 am and 5 pm at UQAM on the first floor of Pavillon President-Kennedy. Presentations in the form of posters and talks will be held by students from all 4 Montreal Universities, but also by our three invited speakers:

Dr. Renaud Cornut (UQAM) - Improving the battery performances: identification of the factor limiting the discharge ability of a new lithium battery material.

Prof. Ana C. Tavares (INRS-EMT in Varennes) - Development of membrane materials for Direct Methanol Fuel Cells

Prof. Benoit Marsan (UQAM)

Location

The Symposium will be on the first floor of Pavilion President-Kennedy at Place-des-Arts. Take the elevators at the main entrance to the building to the first floor and follow the signs.

Information for presenters

All oral presenters are asked to prepare a talk of 15 to 17 min maximum. Please transfer you presentation to the symposium’s computer either before the opening or during the lunch or coffee break. We would like to ask the oral presenters to provide information about their education and awards until Friday, June 17th.
Posters will be presented and judged during the lunch break. Please stay near your poster if you want to be considered for a prize. Posters must not exceed 6’ x 4’ (180 cm x 120 cm).
